Daily fluid diary

How KidEat tracks fluids

The daily total combines drinks with part of the fluid contained in food. It is an approximate daily guide, not a medical target.

What counts

Drinks and fluid from food

  • Water, milk and juice count by the volume you add.
  • Soup and yogurt count from saved meal entries.
  • For soup, KidEat estimates only the liquid portion to avoid overstating the total.

Important: do not add soup or yogurt again with the quick-volume buttons. Logging them in the meal entry is enough.

Two ways

How to add fluids

1

Drinks — use the buttons

Open “Add” → “Water” and choose the amount consumed. You can use this for water, milk or juice.

2

Soup and yogurt — log with the meal

Include them in a breakfast, lunch, snack or dinner entry. KidEat will add their estimated fluid contribution to the total.

The remaining amount shows what is still suggested for today

KidEat compares the collected amount with an approximate age-based guide. The figure changes as drinks and meals are added. Ask a clinician for individual medical guidance.
